HIV / STD TESTING
AIDS and sexually transmitted disease testing and counseling is available Monday - Thursday, 7:30am - 12:00pm.
Treatment for syphillis, gonorrhea and chlamydia is provided through the State DOH.
LAB WORK
The Barry County Health Department offers low cost lab work for persons who have an order from their doctor.
It is important to ask your doctor whether or not you need to be fasting prior to your visit.
LEAD TESTING
Lead poisoning is one of the most common and preventable environmental health problems today. An estimated one million children have elevated blood lead levels of at least 10 micrograms per deciliter (10 µg/dl) in the U.S. According to 2003 Missouri blood lead testing data, three thousand children under the age of six, were identified with elevated blood lead levels in the state.
PREGNANACY TESTING
Walk-in pregnancy testing is available. We ask that you come in for the test only if you have missed a period. A first morning specimen is best.
SMHW / WISE WOMEN
Breast Cervical Cancer Control Project
Pap tests and mammogram screenings for financially qualified women ages 35 - 64 who have no insurance, Medicaid or Medicare. Lab screen and education for heart disease prevention. We offer a clinic every month at our Cassville location.
Financial qualification assessed.
Missouri State Department of Health and Senior Services
Cost of lab test dependent on the particular test requested.
Fee assessed.
TUBERCULOSIS TESTING
Skin testing done on walk-in basis Monday and Tuesday (requires return visit in 2 days for reading).
Follow-up conducted on active TB cases and positive skin tests.
